Beastmark is probably the oldest art project in this website. This comic book story was co-written with my friend Jim Collett who also came up the the idea. It was meant to be part of a science-fiction and fantasy anthology we intended to publish during the 'indy comics' boom of the eighties.
I originally drew Beastmark in a somber 'horror' style with traditional pen and ink, but when Adobe Illustrator 5.5 came out in 1993, the artwork got a peppy 'Tin Tin' makeover which seemed to work better for this material.
June 13, 2010 Update! Just for kicks, we're going to post a few pages from the original pen and ink version, as well as the roughs created for this Adobe Illustrator version. Watch for it in the new Studio section.
Also, we're thinking of reviving the anthology comic book project after we clear some current Little Green Dog projects from our schedule. We'll make the announcement when we get there.
