The original version of Hello Frankenstein was created across a week of evenings and two weekends. This involved storyboarding, designing sets, props and costumes; building the sets, props and costumes; shooting cat footage and miniature sets; editing; compositing and adding fx (chromakey, rotoscoping, tracking, particle fx and more cgi,); creating the cgi opening and titles; editing again; and finally mixing the audio. We hand delivered the movie to our Gothtober co-conspirators J.P and Kristin, at a bar on the night our entry had to go online.
At the same time Alisa and I had been working on movie and commercial productions elsewhere during the day, and doing lots of overtime. Looking back, I don't understand how making Hello Frankenstein was even possible with this schedule, but I guess the cats did most of the real work.
