Ideas can come to me at the weirdest times and when they do, I need to scribble them down immediatey. If I don't, they may disappear forever and that can make me very sad. The Brudders 'Star Wars' episode came to me during a production meeting at work and this is what I doodled on the back of a shot list.
I don't know why but nearly all of these comics wind up becoming a major research project for me. I thought that because I've seen Star Wars a bazillion times the strip would be easy for me to draw, but a true Star Wars connoisseur can see in the above sketch that I already had the dialog wrong. Okay, get out the popcorn, time for bazillion and one..
Luckily, at work we were involved with a SW related project so the timing for this idea was convenient.
